How to Turn Off Instagram's Activity Status | instagram Tips 2022

Instagram introduced the "last seen" feature in January 2018. This feature, called Activity Status, lets all of your followers (and anyone who writes you) know when you last updated your status. You may also see when others last used this feature. It's been included in the app's direct message section, where you may communicate with your followers. This privacy-invading feature is identical to those seen on WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, but with a different name. Instagram has updated its app to include a dedicated section at the top that lists all of your active Instagram followers. There's no need to panic, though. There's no need to worry, though, because you can quickly disable the feature to prevent others or yourself from knowing when someone was last active on Instagram. So, these are the actions you need to take to disable Instagram's activity status.

Methods to Turn off Activity Status on Instagram (2022)

1. To get a feel for the Activity Status feature, here's how the "last active" tab and the tag next to the usernames of individuals you've recently messaged will look:

2. Open your Instagram profile, hit the navigation bar (horizontal three lines icon) in the top-right corner, and select "Settings" to hide activity status.

3. On the Settings tab, go to the "Privacy" section and touch on "Activity Status" to modify the activity status of your Instagram account.
4. Turn off "Show Activity Status," and you're done. Your online status will no longer be visible to other Instagram users. Keep in mind that if you disable the activity status, you won't be able to see the last seen status of persons you text.
5. After disabling the activity status, the "online now" bar at the top has removed, as shown in the figure below. The "active minutes/hours> ago" tag is also missing.

Remove the Online Status Section from Instagram DMs.

Disabling Instagram's "Activity Status" feature will allow you to keep your business private. It will help you regain your personal by keeping curious family and friends at bay. While the newly introduced Instagram polls and quick post sharing are convenient, we believe that included a section to reveal your online status was unnecessary. What are your opinions on this latest development? Do you think it'll be useful, or should you just turn it off? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
